If you are locked out due to a low battery situation, get a 9V battery from the petrol kiosk or supermarket. Get alkaline type if possible.
Look for the 9V external battery terminals on the front of the lock. See pictures of where there are located for the different models. They are usually located at the bottom of the front body (sometimes covered by a plastic flap). Sometimes they are located in the middle of the front body (with either circular contacts or horizontal stripe contacts).
Hold the 9V battery against the contact, and use the usual pin/card/fingerprint to unlock. In extreme cases, sometimes the lock requires it to be restarted by poking the reset pin hole (located near the 9V battery terminals). Some locks do not have reset pin hole.
